Yikes, I hope for the Canes that some of their injured forwards return prior to the start of the season, I see at least 5 fringe NHLers in the top 9, and another 3 on the 4th line. Other than Staals/Skinner/Tlusty this looks like an AHL set of forwards and I may be wrong but I think Muller is playing the best players he has available tonight. This might be the opening night lineup which would not be good for the Canes.
Its a shame that Boychuk cannot even crack this squad. What a waste of a draft pick this turned out to be, given he was picked one spot above Erik Karlsson in 2008. Ouch. Dalpe has been a disappointment as well I think but I guess but expectations were not quite so high.
